You don’t have to be an influencer to make money online as a wellness professional!
If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “I’d love to work with brands but I don’t have a big enough following...” UGC is perfect for you!!
UGC, or user generated content, is when you partner with brands to create videos and photos for their social media channels, ads, and websites. This means you can scale your income without relying on engagement, algorithms, or posting every day.
And it’s such a great way to scale your wellness business in 2026. (NO BRAINER!!!)
The biggest challenge? You have to be really good at creating content, because the brand isn’t paying for your influence, they’re paying for your creative work.
Here is exactly how I would get started if I was brand new:
1. Make a handful of videos using products you already use and love
Practice talking on camera, experimenting with editing, and designing in Canva. Aim for at least five videos, and make sure your face and voice appear in at least half of them. Brands want personality, not perfection.
2. Create a simple portfolio
This is basically a mini showreel for brands to see your work. You can create a page on your existing website, or use Canva to make a free, easy-to-navigate portfolio. Include your videos, a few photos, and a short intro about who you are and what types of products you like to work with. Make it professional but approachable—brands want to see your style and personality shine.
3. Start pitching to brands
Begin with companies you already love and use, smaller wellness brands, or local businesses. Introduce yourself, explain that you create content for social media and websites, and share a link to your portfolio. Keep your pitch short and friendly—think 2–3 sentences. Don’t overthink it: even sending 5–10 pitches a week can land you your first client. Remember, one yes is all you need to start building momentum.
